Research opportunity for local history groups

Posted on 6th June 2018 by Paul Carter

A new local heritage and research opportunity for local history groups has been announced.

It involves local history groups working with 10 community groups / school groups to discover and commemorate the stories of the British Labour Corps during the First World War. Their research will contribute to a brand new resource pack, which will be shared for free with community groups across the UK in November 2018.

The project is part of The Unremembered: World War One's Army of Workers, a community commemoration programme led by Big Ideas and funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and a National Lottery grant from the Big Lottery fund.
