Abbots Langley Local History Society

Abbots Langley is a village in Hertfordshire, England, situated between Watford and Hemel Hempstead, and close to St Albans. The Society was formed in 1994.

Aireborough Historical Society

Aireborough is now part of the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, including Guisely, Yeadon and Rawdon. The society was formed in 1957, but this is a new site, with illustrations and information, and a developing discussion forum.

This very active society was set up in 1986 to acknowledge and encourage the interests of people in the history of Bicester and the surrounding area. The WIALHS was founded back in 1971 when an inaugural meeting was held at the Victoria Institute Worcester by our founder and late President Bill Gwilliam. The Society has come a long way since those early days, and we now have over 150 members who meet regularly.
