Dodderhill Parish History Project

The Dodderhill Parish Survey Project, recently secured a Heritage Lottery Grant to undertake research on "Historic Droitwich; Its Streets and People". This project undertook to research and undertake scientific research (dendrochronological investigations and building surveys) of six timber-framed buildings in the historic core of Droitwich, together with documentary research of the owners and occupiers. This research has identified that the oldest building dates to 1340, and another building is the first Wealden style building so far discovered in Worcestershire. The new website details the research from this project, and in time it is hoped that further research can be undertaken looking at later (Georgian?) building phases. The new website was launched in March 2017.
