Woolhope Naturalists' Field Club

 

Woolhope Club (Woolhope Naturalists' Field Club), Herefordshire, was founded in 1851 and is named after the Woolhope Dome, a famous local geological formation and the site of its first field meeting. The Club's range of interests have expanded from natural history and geology to history, meteorology and archaeology in Herefordshire and the Marches. A volume of Transactions has been published annually since 1865; these contain details of the Club's activities, reports from the Club's recorders and academic papers.
