Type of Event: History conference

Event Location: Lancaster House Stable Yard London SW1A 1BB

The Association of Jewish Refugees is hosting Remembering & Rethinking: The international forum on the Kindertransport at 80.

Running over two days, 15-16 April 2019 at Lancaster House in London, the event is being held in partnership with the UK Special Envoy for Post-Holocaust Issues, The Rt Hon The Lord Pickles.

Marking the 80th anniversary year of the Kindertransport, the forum will bring together many of the world’s leading voices relating to the history of the Kindertransport and its contemporary relevance. These discussions about the legacy of the Kindertransport come at a critical time, when the UK government is in the process of examining our country’s actions in the lead-up to the Second World War, for the purpose of creating a new Holocaust memorial.
