Radbourne History and Archaeology Group seeking historian / archivist

The Radbourne History and Archaeology Group (RHAG) wish to appoint a suitably skilled historian/archivist for their HLF funded Community Archaeology Project which started in Sept 2018 with completion in July 2019.

They are looking for a historian/archivist with the following experience:

  • Skills in researching historical documents from a range of sources
  • Working with community groups on local history projects
  • Ability to train a small number of volunteers in developing those skills and interpreting data
  • Ability to write a succinct referenced report

This Community Archaeology Project 'Radbourne: the search for the old hall' is based in Radbourne, Derbyshire.

The Search for the Old Hall is a time-limited, commissioned piece of work for the historian. Value of commission is £1500.00 plus expenses.
