The Community Research Project

The Community Research Project  is aiming to provide free access, borrowing and training for upwards of 1,000 independent researchers, scholars, activists, campaigners, community workers and lifelong learners at academic libraries across the UK.

The pilot is launching this summer at the Universities of York and Sheffield, with an intake of 50 community researchers. No previous research experience is required. Anyone interested in applying can visit the website at www.communityresearchproject.com for further information.

Beyond the pilot, they are looking to partner with many more university libraries, especially in the North of England, with a view to bringing community researchers into peer-to-peer networks that will foster collaboration and professional support.
