War memorials are an important part of our local heritage and can provide a great starting point for schools embarking on a local history project.  As we approach the centenary of the end of World War I, it is an excellent opportunity to explore how this global conflict affected the local area.  Visit www.learnaboutwarmemorials.org to access free downloadable learning materials.

Recently added resources include primary and secondary lessons plans and assemblies on the Armistice (www.learnaboutwarmemorials.org/primary/primary-ww1/armistice) as well as case studies about Sussex war memorials (www.learnaboutwarmemorials.org/primary/sussex/sussex-case-studies).
