Smarden Heritage Centre Releases Film of Life During the War

On the eve of VE Day Smarden Heritage Centre, in Kent, produced a new film about life in Smarden during the war, based on the fascinating memoir written by Lettice Rathbone for the Women's Institute.
In it, we hear about the army returning from Dunkirk, the Battle of Britain and how the village prepared for invasion.
