The project has been a great success, with BALH keen to support the Royal British Legion by spreading the word to local historians all over the country.

RBL said "It has been an honour and a pleasure to read all the stories that were sent in and we gathered almost 6,000 items in the end. This has helped us to bring our first century to life and celebrate our communities. Thank you for helping us mark this momentous milestone."
