Fortress Study Group CIO

The group's aim is to advance the education of the public in the study of all aspects of fortifications and their armaments, especially works constructed to mount or resist artillery.

With around 400 members, mainly based in the UK, many focus on their local fortified site(s), such as Shoreham Fort or a line of WW2 pillboxes.

The group runs Members Days, where members are encouraged to speak on aspects of fortification that they have visited. Photographic presentations are also encouraged for members to shares their experiences on trips to fortifications.
