Killingworth Local History Society

Killingworth Local History Society was founded in 1971 to promote interest in the history of Killingworth village and its surroundings.

From September to May, the Society provides a programme of illustrated talks from visiting speakers. Some of our members have undertaken research and have produced publications. Our most well known historical figures are, arguably, George and Robert Stephenson.
